Ok, so I got to see Golden Compass early - Savoy had some crazy sneak preview/showing that I lucked into.  I have not read the books - I had never heard about this story, so I went into it totally blind.  I *loved* the movie.  I thought it was visually stunning at times, the plot was mostly interesting, and I hung on every plot twist.  Now, granted ( Read more... )
